The Observatory publishes research on the Act as it is lived: the quality of notices, the practice of consent, the pattern of enforcement. Each study appears with its data and its method.

What it takes to appear here

Researchers who want to work to that standard should state their interest and mention the Observatory. Notes on the Act and the Rules, and news of the Forum’s work, appear in the Bulletin. What banks and regulators have published about the Act, cited to the document, is recorded in the Casebook.
